I have been seriously photographing for over 34 years and still love it. True wilderness photography is where my soul is because of the space it puts you in, from around 1995 I’ve have been putting effort into thinking more about the story than the single image. This has helped my photography move forward. Photography has given me so much more than I have given out, and nothing to do with money. Mostly my image making is for myself but I will do any commercial work as it comes along. I believe in partnerships with other groups and organizations and work with the Department of Conservation to help their causes when asked, as well as lecturing and taking workshops for photographic clubs around NZ including the Photographic Society of NZ. In 2004 I was awarded a Fellowship with the P.S.N.Z and was on their Honours Board for 10 years. My images have appeared in numerous books and magazines as well as prints being sold and hanging on walls around the world.

I have exhibited in galleries, both solo and with a collective.

Photography is still a joy for me and will be for many years to come.
